Masha Parkhomenko

Updated: Mar 27, 2019

Masha was diagnosed with a hole in her heart at birth and has with this life-threatening defect for sixteen years. She was first operated at St. Francis Hospital by Dr. Levchuck, Chairman of Pediatric Cardiology, in November 2015. She has since been monitored in Russia with serial ECHOs. The VSD repair, which was the most critical has held up. However, the ASD is gradually recurring and has been growing over time.

Dr. Levchuck has accepted her for a redo and we tentatively expect her surgery to be performed this August.
